This committee will ensure the creation, distribution, and resulting analysis of CfA-wide climate surveys and other forms of assessment.

This committee will create the blueprint for a 10-year plan and determine whether it is something we commit to internally and/or institutionally. This committee will be the start to creating other sub-committees based on the needs we identify using both the climate survey and the suggestions/actionables that have been collected by the CfA community thus far.

Communication & Transparency

This committee will ensure that all divisions (including less-acknowledged entities) of the CfA are included in conversations related to DEI work. They will be responsible for ensuring there is transparency and communication between this committee, other CfA committees, and the overall CfA community. They will also be in charge of building a centralized hub of suggestions, relevant references and reports, and actionables.

This committee will aim at making the CfA accessible to all individuals. Specific items to look into are the installment of ramps and other necessary equipment to reach buildings and facilities as well as making sure that the CfA resources are accessible by people with auditory and visual impairments.

Sustainability

This committee will work with the CfA Green Team to decrease the negative impact of the CfA on the environment, including initiatives to offset/decrease carbon emissions (e.g. from air travel), reduce the amount of food waste and plastic waste by events at the CfA, participate in fossil fuel divestment campaigns.

This committee will aim to work with short term tangible methods to create a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
