The Advanced Certificate in Astronomy and Space Science (ACAS) is an intermediate course offered for school children in grades 10 or above.
This is also suitable for students who know the basics of astronomy.
This course discusses all the main topics in astronomy, including relativity and particle physics.
This course explains the mathematical applications in basic astronomy

Time: Every Thursday from 7.30 - 9.30 p.m.
Course Fees: LKR 40,000/- + 5,000/- (non-refundable registration fees)
**Course fees can be paid in instalments as LKR 8000/ x 5
Students' knowledge is evaluated at the end of the course by giving a research project and a written paper.
Those who earned a minimum of 50% or more in the evaluation test are considered to have completed the course successfully and are offered a certificate with both the CISS and Government logo.
Those who cannot reach the pass marks can get 2 more tries to do the exam again.
No participation certificates are given.
Students who passed the GCE O Level or the London O Level (Cambridge/Edexcel) can enroll in the undergraduate program
