The Context of Production
what kind of world was the text borne of/produced in?
socio-cultural and political context
your understanding of the social attitudes, values, cultural behaviours/practices and political movements or legislation of particular times and places. eg. WWII Germany, Sep 11, 2001 USA, Xmas Island Boat Tragedy, Aust. 2010, Feminist Movement of the 1960s-70s, Civil Rights Movement of the 1950s-60s, Jim Crow Laws.
