WEDC Awards $150K Grant to the Computer Science Talent Ecosystem Youth (CSTEY)

December 6, 2021 - GovernorTony Evers and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Secretary and CEO Missy Hughes announced today that CSTEY, a pilot program that aims to train teachers and bring computer science into all Wisconsin K-12 classrooms, is getting a boost from a $150,000 grant from the WEDC.

WHAT IS <CodeWISCO> WEEK?

CodeWISCO Week takes place every December and is an opportunity to engage Wisconsin K-12 students to learn more about coding and computer science. It is a time for students to understand the power they have to transform their individual lives, their families and the world around us. Our world is changing at a blistering pace. Nearly every industry has been transformed in some way through the use of technology. Learning about coding and computer science has never been more important.
