Answer - Always try to use the SETT process. Consider the
Student.... what are their strengths and weaknesses?
Environment.... where will they need to use the Assistive Technology?
Tasks..... what does the student need to do? Be specific.
Tools.... what are the range of tools from high-tech to low-tech, what do we already have access to?
Answer: Try to be as specific as possible. For example - student needs to be able to independently read multisyllabic words. Then you would need a device that could assist with that specific task.
