Team Coordinator

We are always seeking responsible, organized volunteers who love working on the chatline and want to contribute in a leadership capacity.

The commitment of each and every Team Coordinator is what allows us to provide Emotional Support 12 hours each day, 365 days a year.

Team Coordinators are responsible for getting the shift up and running on time, every time. Tasks include:

  • Maintaining the shift chat while coordinating volunteer breaks and troubleshooting technical/scheduling issues

  • Filling out the shift report, double-checking and approving volunteer hours on Clockify

  • Monitoring volunteer performance, providing feedback for each volunteer on shift, and drawing Team Leads' attention to those who may require retraining or additional support

  • Working as a team with the Shift Supervisor to guide and support all volunteers on shift, ensuring we deliver excellent emotional support

Requirements

  • Minimum completion of 7 Emotional Support Chat Responder shifts

  • Commitment: at least 1 semester (4 months); 8 hours per month

    • Hours are logged on Clockify and approved by the Team Manager.

  • A strong desire to lead a shift team with kindness, patience, and compassion

  • Demonstrated understanding of Emotional Support Chat Responder role

  • Detailed-oriented, analytical skills, and strong problem-solving ability

  • Ability to work under pressure, maintaining professionalism and tact, with minimal supervision

  • Technical proficiency, especially with Tawk, Gmail, and WhatsApp; able to quickly learn how to use new programs (Acuity, Monday.com)
