Meet Ms. Reeves
This will be my 1st year teaching, and I'm so excited to tackle this year as a Centurion! Here's a bit about me:
Education
I received my degree in Secondary English 7-12 from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in May of 2024. My time at UNK was spent both in the library (my stepmother is one of the head librarians, we love Rochelle!) and in Thomas Hall (the BEST spot on campus to study). Out of all of the English courses I had taken, my Arthurian Literature with Dr. Umland was my absolute favorite. I love knights, princesses, adventuring, and anything fantasy - so this class was the best! The English/Creative Writing department at UNK has a very special place in my heart.
Home Town
I am from the small town of Saint Edward, NE (population of ~715). I attend the local high school (go Beavers!) and graduated with a class of 9 in 2020. I was in just about every extracurricular I could fit in my schedule: speech, one-act, volleyball, FFA, StuCo, NHS, track, mentor program, and FCCLA.
Family
I have 5 siblings, 3 older and 2 younger. My youngest brother graduates high school this year, so that means my mother will officially be an empty nester! My family is LARGE, I have lots of cousins and we're all very close. I also have 3 nieces and a nephew, and boy do I love to spoil those 4. They're the coolest kiddos I know! My fiancé works IT and is a huge comic book fan. We live together in Ravenna, NE with our orange cat Mr. Gubbins.
