Hello everyone! My name is Megan Lienemann and I am so excited to be teaching at Centura!

Centura is very near and dear to my heart. I was raised south of Cairo on a farm where my family has been since the early 1930's. I attended Centura as a student K-12 and graduated in 2010.  I was involved in volleyball, basketball, track, Student Council, NHS and FBLA.  After high school, I moved to Kearney and attended UNK and started working on my bachelor's degree. In May 2014, I graduated with a degree in Middle Level Education in Math and Social Sciences and started teaching in Harvard, NE. During that first year of teaching, I started my masters degree through UNK in Curriculum and Instruction. I finished and received that degree in 2017.

After one year at Harvard Public Schools teaching 6th grade math and reading, I moved to Grand Island and started teaching math and social studies at Walnut Middle School. I spent the next three years with the sixth grade! I decided to make the move to Centura in 2017, and just finished my seventh year here! I am now starting my eighth year at Centura and my 12th year of teaching overall!

My family has always lived in the Cairo and Boelus area. Both my mom and dad attended Centura, and continue to live south of Cairo. My dad is a farmer and my mom is a retired math teacher. I have an older brother, Nick,  who lives in Crescent, IA with his wife and three kids. My husband, Chance, is from Grand Island and attended Northwest High School. We got married in July 2020! We welcomed our first son, Wyatt, in June 2021 and our second son, Tanner, in May 2024.

Some of my favorite things include...

Food - Fried pickles, french fries, chicken fried steak, and pepperoni pizza!

Sports - Volleyball, basketball and football

TV Shows - FRIENDS, Big Bang Theory, and anything on Food Network!
