CV (updated 2024)
My interests lie at the intersection of many fields— geology, biology, paleontology, microbiology, geochemistry. I had a fantastic undergraduate experience at WKU studying volcanoes and meteorites. At the University of Kansas, I studied paleoarachnology (fossil spiders) and taphonomy (how things become fossils). I also worked on modern spiders!
I grew up in Southcentral Kentucky. My interest in the geosciences started with collecting rocks and exploring caves. I also participated in the Kentucky Governor’s Scholar Program at Centre College, and later was the Recycling Coordinator at Southcentral Kentucky Community & Technical College.
I joined Centre College in 2023 as the Assistant Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. I moved over to a full-time faculty position in August of 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Environmental Studies. Previously, at the University of Kansas, I was the Assistant Director of the Center for Undergraduate Research where I supported faculty and staff in their roles as research mentors, helped instructors incorporate research into their courses, and supported students across all disciplines in their undergraduate research projects.
