Scientific significance
Traditional agricultural practices remain insufficient to ensure sustainable development. for this purpose, it is essential that the world must build a stronger and sovereign agriculture that guarantees the increase in production and productivity of the agricultural products and their processing into food, while preserving the integrity of the environment. Thus, the transition to dynamic smart agriculture requires the enhanced integration of technologies and innovations such as agricultural mechanization, advanced technologies, the art of connecting and integrating objectives, People, information and systems for better production and intelligent services. This new, latestgeneration equipment, responding to local needs and capacities, requires a broad mobilization of the innovative capacities of local collective intelligence. It should be noted that it is in this text that Algeria gives importance to innovation while considering it a priority for the agricultural world, in order to ensure agriculture that is more sustainable, more resilient and more competitive. Thus, in addition to being a force for building the agriculture of tomorrow, innovation also remains a real lever for development for our country. As part of the Algeria Disrupt program, Algeria’s goal is to promote startups and accelerate their growth, while building on a program that introduces a new public investment fund dedicated to start-ups, as well as a startup incubator/accelerator. Among the latter, let us mention the incubator FILAHA INNOV which supports project leaders in agriculture, agri-food and olive growing.
