Education
I have a B.S. in Elementary Education and Special Education from Nebraska Wesleyan University, a Master's in Instructional Technology with a Leadership concentration from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. I earned my 6-12 Mathematics Endorsement through Chadron State College. I continue to take graduate mathematics courses to teach dual credit mathematics classes at Central Valley.
Teaching Experience
I was a substitute teacher for several years before I started teaching for Central Valley Public Schools. I taught third grade for one year and then 6th grade before moving to high school math. In addition to teaching at my district, I have served on the MTSS Leadership team, and I'm currently chairperson of the mathematics committee for continuous school improvement.
Personal Life
My husband, Kurt, and I married in 2009. He is from a family farm near Scotia, NE and after college we moved back to his family farm where we are raising our two kids. I grow a huge garden every year, and I love to bike and run long distance on country roads. I enjoy traveling, reading, skiing, hiking, and spending time with my family.
