Welcome to First Grade!
I have posted a supply list on this page.
I would greatly appreciate if you could send me an email. My email is smiceli@centralvalleysd.net. This will help me generate a list of parent emails for my records.
I will be updating Showbie codes when we get closer to the start of school.

You will need to join each of the classes for your child.
Specials' Showbie codes:

Mrs. Miceli's Class
Please check your child's folder each night for homework and class notes.
First grade is an exciting year. The students learn so many new things. You will be amazed at how much your child can do by the end of the year.
We will learn concepts in reading, phonics, spelling, writing, and math. We will explore concepts in science and social studies. Your child will also have a special class each day. These classes are art, music, computers, library and physical education.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions. The Center Grange school phone number is 724-775-8201.
Homework
Please check your child's folder each night. Homework will be on the "Return to School" side of the folder. It usually has been stamped Homework. Please complete and take a photo of it in Showbie. Any papers on the "Keep at Home" side can be removed.
School Supply List
Supplies:
I’ve put together a list of materials your child should bring to school. Here is the list of supplies:
backpack (with a hook and without wheels)
Sharpened pencils
glue sticks (10)
child-size scissors
plastic pencil/crayon box (approximately 8 ½” X 5 ½” X 2”; anything larger will not fit in his/her desk)
headphones for iPad - no earbuds or wireless headphones (Five Below has headphones for a great price. Earbuds do not fit comfortably in the kids’ ears and they aren’t soundproof like headphones.)
Tissues - donations appreciated
Hand sanitizer
Dry erase markers- Expo markers seem to work best
Ziploc bags- donations appreciated
Disinfecting wipes - donations appreciated
Water bottle with a sports cap (only water is permitted)
Please place the following in your child's pencil box: 1 pencil, scissors, and 1 expo marker.
Please take the supplies out of the packages and put them in a gallon size bag. Make sure the bag is labeled with your child’s name.
We are not permitted to share supplies this year so it is very important for your child to have his/her own supplies.
Many of these items will need to be replaced throughout the year. I will be storing the extra items for each child.
I will provide crayons and a folder for the beginning of the year. The children may bring in additional crayons throughout the year. Please limit the box to 24 or less. Anything larger will be a distraction and won’t fit in their pencil box.
*Please do not send large binders, bulky organizers, or anything you think may distract your child from learning.
*Electronic devices/toys are not permitted, as stated in the student handbook.
