The Central Valley High School Book Club, sponsored by Mrs. Greco, is a student organization dedicated to fostering a love for reading, critical thinking, and open discussion. The club provides CVHS students across grades 9–12 with an inclusive, welcoming space to explore diverse literary genres, share perspectives, and connect with fellow readers beyond the traditional classroom setting.
Monthly Book Selections: Members collaborate to select and read engaging titles across various genres, including contemporary fiction, classic literature, graphic novels, non-fiction, and young adult bestsellers.
Student-Led Discussions: Meetings feature open, student-driven conversations that encourage thoughtful debate, literary analysis, and personal reflections on each month's featured read.
Optional: Students may meet new friends to form a Battle of the Books team
All CVHS students are welcome to join at any point during the school year, regardless of reading pace or background. To get involved or find out details about the next meeting date and current book selection, stop by Mrs. Greco’s room or check the morning announcements.
