Honors English 10

This course emphasizes writing and critical reading skills that serve as the foundation for all other high school English courses. Students will study appropriate organizational patterns and methods of support for many types of poetry and prose. Students will read a variety of genres to examine how professional authors use literary and rhetorical devices. The curriculum has been redesigned and English 10 is a Keystone trigger course. Students will take the Keystone Literature Examination after this course.
