This US History II course covers the same topics covered in the non-Honors offering of US History II; however, the topics are presented and explored with a significantly higher emphasis of academic expectation. This course has increased rigor and challenging assignments. The highest-quality of work and maximum effort is expected of students who chose this honors course. The reading and writing requirement exceeds the non-Honors course offering. The course writing assignments will follow a format chosen by the instructor. Writing assignments may include, but not be limited to, frequent short papers of 1-3 pages in length and a formal research paper of 5-7 pages in length with evidence-based citation. Course readings will include the regular course work as well as various outside primary, secondary and public sources, which may be found online, in digital format, or provided in hard copy by the instructor.
