Course Description
Health is a required course, which conforms to the Pennsylvania Department of Education Academic Standards. This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn about the physical, mental/emotional, and social aspects of health. Course information is presented in a practical manner incorporating current health trends and concerns. This course enables students to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to promote the lifelong goals of health and wellness.

Content areas will include, but not limited to: Human Growth and Development, Stress, Mental Health , Relationships (bullying prevention), Nutrition, Weight Management, Personal Fitness, Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases, Human Growth and Development, H.I.V. and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs, and Personal Safety.
