Course Description

Designed for the 11th grade student, this course focuses on American literature as it relates to its historical era in order to correlate the time period with the text. Literary analysis, reading comprehension, the writing process, Keystone exam preparation, classroom discussion, presentations, critical thinking skills, and vocabulary development will be highlighted during this course of study. Students will be familiarized with major American authors and literary movements.
