This curriculum, provided in association with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, utilizes activities related to the North American Model of Wildlife Conservation and follows the PA Academic Standards for Environment and Ecology. The use of real-world activities include: exploring public lands and waterways, identifying wildlife, fishing, hunting, trapping, archery, kayaking/canoeing. Built on a core of sound pedagogical practices, the curriculum includes project-based learning, multiple learning styles, differentiated instruction, and a flipped-classroom approach. These methods encourage depth of knowledge, critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills. The science curriculum has a high correlation with STEM.
