Course Description
This course is designed to enable the students to attain a depth of understanding of fundamentals and a reasonable competence in dealing with chemical problems. This course gives an introduction to the structure and properties of atoms, molecules, and ions, stoichiometry; electronic structure of the atoms, periodic properties of the elements; chemical bonding; molecular geometry and bonding theories. Teaching methods include interactive lectures, discussions, demonstrations, computer simulations, laboratory work, and group work.
