Titan Marching Band and Color Guard
As the largest ensemble in our program, the Titan Marching Band and Color Guard represents Rio Vista at local parades, band reviews and other events in each Fall. The ensemble is comprised of Advanced Winds, Advanced Percussion, and Color Guard. Students wear uniforms and learn how to perform while marching in step together.

Concert Band and Symphonic Band
Concert Band and Symphonic Band
Concert Band and Symphonic Band are active year round and perform at regional music festivals and competitions. Concert Band is comprised of students from Beginning Band and Percussion. Symphonic Band is comprised of Advanced Winds and Advanced Percussion. Students learn a variety of musical styles and genres while developing ensemble performance skills. Symphonic Band travels to a Music in the Parks Festival Competition each April.

Winter Percussion
Winter Percussion
Winter Percussion is the ultimate indoor music competition. This ensemble is open to all Percussion and Advanced Winds. Students learn marching percussion skills in Battery and concert percussion skills in Front Ensemble. Battery also learns drill. We perform at the SJVCGPR circuit January - March each year. Afterschool Practice required.

Jazz Band
Jazz Band is taught by Mr. Andrew Munoz afterschool twice a week. This ensemble is open to all Rio Vista Music Students. Jazz Band practices and performs year round at regional concerts and festivals. Afterschool Practice required.
