BAPTISMS

"Through Baptism we are incorporated into the Church, which is the body of Christ, and made one in Christ."
1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 3:27-28

Baptism is one of the central rites of the Church, and within the Wesleyan (Methodist) Tradition is counted as a Sacrament. To us, baptism is a means of grace by which we are cleansed of sin and incorporated into the body of Christ, which is the Church. In this Sacrament we are asked to profess our faith in the Triune God, in God the Father, in God the Son, and in God the Holy Spirit, and we are asked to put our whole trust in his grace, and to renounce all sin and evil. In the United Methodist Tradition, most persons are baptized as infants, and although we also perform adult baptisms as needed, we do not rebaptize individuals. We recognize the validity of all Christian baptisms. 

Upcoming Dates for Baptism

All Saints Day (November 1, 2026)
Baptism of the Lord (Janury 10, 2027)
Easter Vigil or Easter Sunday (March 27/28, 2027)
Pentecost (May 16, 2027)

Please register for baptism two weeks in advance of the above dates.

If no baptisms occur on the above dates, a Reaffirmation of Baptism is observed.
