Early ACCESS Vision, Mission and Key Principles

Family Centered Practices

Early ACCESS Goal Statement

Transdisciplinary early intervention teams will demonstrate clear alignment with Iowa’s Early ACCESS eligibility and evaluation procedures through consistent data practices, a shared understanding of developmental concerns and delays, and purposeful use of interventions tied to assessment within the evaluation process. Evaluations will be collaborative, family-centered, and comprehensive—resulting in clear eligibility decisions that support both timely and individualized services that promote developmental progress and meaningful participation in everyday routines.

Early ACCESS staff:

    • Participate in FGRBI Coaching Tiers that focus on feedback and reflection around embedding coaching strategies that help to build their confidence and competence using the SSOOPPRR Key Indicators.

    • Set goals that support continued  learning and progress toward meeting 80% of the SSOOPPRR key indicators using the coding rubric.
