Class overview
7th Grade Geography/Cultures
This class is designed for the study of the physical, economic, cultural, and political geography of selected regions around the world. Students will explore, describe, analyze, and seek to understand the arrangement of objects and people on the earth’s surface. Key areas of study will include the 5 Themes of Geography (Location, Place, Movement, Region, Human-Environment Interaction). Another key area of study will include the continents: North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia/Oceania, and Antarctica. Students will be required to learn all 50 states in the United States.
7th Grade Science
This class focuses on the study of ecosystems, matter, and Earth’s changing surface. Students will build science skills through classwork, group work, labs, and assessments. Student participation is vital for the success of this class. I hope everyone has the best school year, and I can’t wait to get to know all of you!!
