Teaching Experience
Hi! I'm Amy McFarland, or as your child will call me, Mrs. McFarland. This is my 22nd year teaching, 4th year at Central. I taught at Valley R-6 in Caledonia for 18 years. I've taught 6th grade for 1 year, 1st grade for 9 years, Title I Math teacher/Math Coordinator for 8 years, and this is my 4th year as a high school resource teacher.
I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from CMU and my master's degree in Teacher Leadership from SEMO.
I will be teaching four Study Skills classes, a CWC Integrated Math II class, and a CWC English IV class. I'm excited for this senior year with my students!
My Family
I have been married for 25 years. My husband, Brian, teaches P.E. at the middle school. We live in Farmington and have 3 kids and a new son-in-law. Kaitlynn is 22 and married Jadin last summer. She works as a labor & delivery nurse and Jadin works as a deputy. Treyton is 16 and is a junior this year. Blayne is a very energetic 13 year old and in 7th grade this year. They keep me very busy.
