Library Procedures and Policies - Student Code of Conduct
The school library is available to students from 7:50am to 3:00pm. Students are not to be unattended in the library. A school employee, teacher, advisor, coach, or administrator must provide supervision at all times.
Books will be loaned to students for 4 weeks and may be renewed one additional time.
Middle School Students may borrow up to 3 books at a time. High School Students may borrow up to 5 books at a time.
Middle School students are not allowed to check out books marked YA (purple label) unless they are in 8th grade AND a parent has completed the permission form. Forms are available in the library or linked here.
Overdue book notices will be emailed to bothe the student and the parent listed in Final Forms.
Fines are not charged for overdue materials, but additional book checkouts are restricted until the item is returned or paid for.
Books that were not returned or paid for at the end of the year will be added to school fees and does carry over to each building.
Books that are overdue for 2 months or more will be presumed lost and the student will be charged replacement cost to their student fees.
Behavior guidelines are posted in the library. Disruptive behavior or violation of the guidelines will result in temporary or permanent cancellation of library privileges.
Students who are visiting the library during the day will be asked to present a pass from the classroom teacher.
