Central City High School is pleased to host the 2026 B-5 District Track Meet. We look forward to providing a positive and well-organized experience for your athletes, coaches, and fans. Additional detailed information will be shared via email.

$100 per school (Payable to Central City High School)
$50 – Girls Team & $50 – Boys Team
9:00 AM – Scratch/Add Meeting (Performing Arts Center East Doors)
10:00 AM – Field Events Begin
2:00 PM – Running Events Begin
4:20–5:00 PM – Break (weather permitting)
Note: Event times are approximate. Events will not begin more than 15 minutes ahead of schedule unless weather necessitates adjustments.

Ensure accurate spelling and information—used for State Meet entries
Performance Entry Guidelines:
Use best mark/time from current season
Must be from interscholastic competition
No relay splits allowed
Recommended: marks from major meets
Coaches will receive ranked entries after the deadline—please verify accuracy.
NSAA Entry Adjustments:
Additions allowed only if athlete is already on district roster
No additional heats may be created
Verification required if entry qualifies for top heat/flight
Central City will provide field event workers
Each school must provide one administrator as an umpire

Lunch and dinner provided for coaches, workers, and administrators
All NSAA/NFHS uniform rules will be enforced
After field events conclude, only the following are allowed in competition areas:
Meet officials
Coaches
Administration
Competing athletes
Violations will receive one warning over the PA. Continued issues will require school personnel to address the situation.
Personal implements allowed if weighed and approved
Weigh-ins: TBD
Implements must be clean prior to inspection
Implements are shared and remain at event site
No throws allowed after competition concludes
All throws must occur within designated sectors
Athletes must report back within 10 minutes after competing elsewhere
Referee may adjust order if delay is beyond athlete’s control
Judges may allow consecutive attempts prior to release
Chalk or approved markers only
No tape allowed on runways or D-zone
Fully Automated Timing (FAT) will be used
Backup timing crew in place if needed

800m, 1600m, 3200m, & 3200m Relay
2 heats: Top 2 + next 4 fastest
3 heats: 1st + next 5 fastest
4 heats: 1st + next 4 fastest
5 heats: 1st + next 3 fastest
Medals: Top 6 individuals & relays
Plaques: Team Champion & Runner-Up

Dispose of trash properly
Clean team camp and bus areas before departure
Coaches should complete a final walkthrough

Qualifying Procedures for Finals:
5 heats: 1st place in each heat + next 3 fastest times
4 heats: 1st place in each heat + next 4 fastest times
3 heats: 1st place in each heat + next 5 fastest times
2 heats: Top 2 in each heat + next 4 fastest times
Top 3 finishers from each district qualify automatically
Plus the next 6 fastest times statewide (non-qualifiers)
Maximum of 24 qualifiers per event
Ties are broken to the thousandth of a second
Top 3 finishers qualify automatically
Plus the next 6 best marks statewide
Ties for final qualifying spot: all tied athletes qualify
Top 3 finishers qualify automatically
Plus athletes meeting the additional qualifying mark (based on NSAA standard)
Tie-breaking requirement:
Boys Pole Vault: must clear 9’6” or higher
Girls Pole Vault: must clear 6’6” or higher
Top 2 teams qualify automatically
Plus the next 4 fastest times statewide
Maximum of 16 relay teams
