2026/27 Student Handbook
2026/27 Student Handbook
This handbook sets forth Central Catholic High School’s policies in the areas of academics, attendance, behavior, general policies, participation in co-curricular activities, and tuition payments. It lists and describes the school’s administration and student services, and provides specific information on policies, bell schedules, school hours, and phone numbers.
Students and parents/guardians are required to read this publication carefully and keep it throughout the year for reference. Students and parents will be held accountable to these policies.
Central Catholic High School admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, or gender to all of the rights, privileges, programs, and activities accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, or gender in the administration of its educational policies, scholarship and loan programs, and other school administered programs. Likewise, Central Catholic High School does not discriminate against any applicant for employment because of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, physical disability, mental disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, age, pregnancy, military or veteran status, political affiliation, or gender. However, the school reserves the right to make employment decisions based on principles of Catholic moral teaching, religious preferences, and other religious needs, criteria, and policies.
Inspired by Catholic Social Teaching and our belief in the inherent dignity of every human person, Central Catholic High School is committed to fostering a learning environment where every student, family, educator, coach, staff member, and community member is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
We believe that every person is created in the image and likeness of God. Therefore, racism, hatred, prejudice, discrimination, harassment, and acts of exclusion have no place in our school community.
We aspire to create a courageous, welcoming, and positive learning environment where every person can learn, participate, and thrive free from racism, discrimination, harassment, bigotry, microaggressions, and other forms of dehumanizing behavior.
We commit to:
Promoting the dignity and worth of every person, regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, faith tradition, disability, sex, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, political affiliation, or personal background.
Actively identifying, addressing, and challenging individual and systemic acts of racism, discrimination, bias, and prejudice within our school community.
Standing in solidarity with those who have been marginalized, excluded, or harmed, and working to create a culture of belonging where all members of our community feel valued and respected.
Encouraging meaningful learning opportunities for students, families, educators, coaches, and staff that foster cultural understanding, empathy, respectful communication, and community responsibility.
Supporting ongoing education that helps our community recognize and respond to racism, prejudice, bias, stereotypes, and identity-based harm.
Upholding and enforcing school policies and expectations that prohibit discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and hateful conduct.
Holding individuals accountable when harm occurs while recognizing the possibility of learning, restoration, reconciliation, and personal growth.
Central Catholic does not claim to be a perfect community. We recognize that students, families, faculty, staff, and leaders will sometimes make mistakes. Our commitment is not to perfection, but to accountability, reflection, learning, repair, and growth.
When harm occurs, we are committed to responding with integrity, compassion, and courage. We seek not only to address harmful behavior but also to strengthen relationships, restore trust, and build a community rooted in justice, dignity, belonging, and respect.
As members of the Central Catholic community, we are called to think before we speak, listen before we judge, and act with compassion rather than cause harm. Together, we strive to create a school where every person is known, valued, respected, and loved.
