A Program-Based Internship is a paid or unpaid internship that is organized between the student, his/her program instructor, and the employer. These internships can be set up at any point during the school year, but are typically reserved for students in their second year of a two-year program, or the second semester of a one-year program. Students must attend his/her program at Central Nine at least one day per week. The Work-Based Learning Coordinator may monitor the student through site visits to the internship site (as requested by the program instructor). Central Nine Career Center reserves and retains the final authority and discretion to approve or disapprove students and employers from participating in any of the Central Nine Work-Based Learning Programs.
