I have been teaching at District 51 since 1993. 😳 I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees from Illinois State University and passed the test to be a qualified reading specialist. I have taught K, 1st, and 3rd grades.

I have lived in Eureka, IL since I got married in 1996. My husband, Tom, and I have 3 boys. Tommy is 23 and is a sergeant in the Army. He is stationed in Ft. Hood, Texas. He works on Blackhawk helicopters. Connor is 20 and works as a CW for Kaiser Electric. He will eventually become an electrician. JD is 17 and a senior at Eureka High School. He enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and pole vaulting for the track team. We also have a black lab named Lucy who is a very well trained duck retrieving machine, or so my husband tells me.

I really do L❤️VE to read, too. I also like to camp, drink coffee, and go out to eat. Lucy ensures I get enough exercise by taking me on walks every day. Before Covid-19, my husband and I enjoyed going to movies; now we enjoy Netflix. I am a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan....GO CARDS!! My newest love is riding our motorcycle that we got in July this summer. I named her Arlene and she takes us everywhere and nowhere!
