Welcome! Spark Box is an optional PD opportunity for teachers in Central 301. Each box comes with informational materials on a surprise instructional strategy. Informational materials get delivered at the start of the spark box session, and the requirements need to be completed by the due date to earn PD credit. Upon completion, teachers may find a few small surprises delivered to their room.

Informational materials will be delivered about the selected strategy for the month. This can include an article to read, video(s) to watch, templates, ideas for implementation and more.

The goal of each Spark Box is that you implement the strategy with students. This can be done whole class, small group, or one-on-one. If you need any support with this step, please reach out to an instructional coach. All instructional coach names and emails are listed at the bottom of this page for your reference.

Please reach out to an instructional coach when you are ready try the strategy with students. Coaches will need to observe the strategy in action as part of the PD requirement. This is an informal observation and is in no way related to teacher evaluation. Coaches will leave you brief feedback on what they observed. All instructional coach names and emails are listed at the bottom of this page for your reference.
