About Me

Hello! My name is Mrs. Holmes, and I am proud to serve as the K–5 PE teacher at Akers Elementary School. I spent 12 years in a general education classroom before transitioning to physical education, and this will be my sixth year teaching PE.

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Fresno State University and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Teaching from Fresno Pacific University. I also hold a Single Subject Credential in Physical Education.

I’m looking forward to a healthy, active, and productive school year filled with learning, teamwork, and fun!

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my family. I have a 6-year-old son and a 8-year-old Goldendoodle who both keep me on my toes! I became a teacher because I was inspired by educators who made a positive difference in my life — and I hope to do the same for every student who walks through my door.
