This term has been packed full of fun in PE.
In the Early Years, the children have been taking part in dance lessons themed around farm animals and using a range of skills to help them move in time with music. They have thoroughly enjoyed this so far.
In KS1, children have been engaging in team building and ball skills. They have spent lots of time and practice on improving their ability to work together and understanding how working with others is essential in sport. In their ball skills unit, children have been taught fundamental skills such as catching, throwing, rolling and dribbling with both their hands and feet.
In LKS2, Year 3 and 4 have discovered how yoga can help them develop their balance, strength and flexibility. They have been creating flows using a range of poses that test their flexibility. They have performed to their classes and taken on feedback from their peers.
In addition to this, Year 4 have been practicing their ball skills. They have particularly been focussing on tracking a ball with accuracy.
UKS2 have been engaging in a range of sports including, yoga, cricket, swimming and football. They have been developing their team work skills and using different skills during these lessons. We can see the great progress that the children are making and the new skills they are learning.
