CentiMark addressed all concerns the facility management had, from the warranty to the completion time. The new roof was installed during summer break when children were not present and the customer was delighted with the results. Read more in project description below!

Steve Hecht and I met Reverend Harry Evans on site to inspect the roof at St Francis De Sales School in Beckley, West Virginia. During the initial inspection, Harry had three main concerns that he communicated to us. The first one was a warranty. The previous roof they had installed failed, and they attempted to claim a warranty repair. However, they were told their warranty only covered materials. The second concern was ponding water. We measured out the roof and drains so that we could install a new tapered roofing system. The third was completion time.
They needed the roof installed during summer break while the children weren't present. During the inspection, we discovered that the decking of the building was Tectum Decking (AKA Shredded Wheat). I explained this type of decking to Reverend Harry and the potential safety issues that can happen if new roofing is placed over it without completely replacing it. Mr. Hecht spoke with Harry and explained the Catholic program and benefits CentiMark has in place.
Harry was very impressed with our assessment and what we could offer his facility! I met with Reverend Harry, Principal Mary Grace Depolo Peck, and Father Leonard Smith on a later date to deliver the roofing proposal. At that time, I showed them the engineered drawing showing how we could taper the roof to help decrease or eliminate the ponding water, and samples of all the materials we would use. I had already spoken with our operations department to secure the materials to start and finish the project within the requested timeline. I explained to them that the CentiMark warranty is a non-prorated warranty that covers both materials and labor. I emphasized the importance of safety on a project that utilizes Tectum decking. This included an explanation of how our crew would be tied off and 100% secured when the Tectum deck was exposed to ensure our crew's safety and the safety of the people in the building.
I also spoke of the values that come with partnering with CentiMark. A few days later, Harry called me and explained that CentiMark was about 30% higher than the other contractor, but he and Mary Grace were satisfied with it since CentiMark was going to ensure safety and that we could guarantee them the timeline they needed. Harry told me that he does not doubt that with everything we presented to them, CentiMark was the best contractor for this project. The project has gone great, and they are very pleased with the end result.

CentiMark was approached by Catholic Construction Services to inspect each of these locations. Each property was in need of roof replacement due to the current age, active leaks, and safety issues. CentiMark performed thermal scans of each roof section to determine the amount of wet insulation and locations of these areas. Our goal was to have zero (0) change orders and to know upfront how much the project will be. CCS also let us know that there would be a time frame that would need to be met for starting & completing these roofs. CentiMark was able to allocate seven (7) crews to complete all four (4) locations in less than two months which was well before the deadline. We were able to provide a discount price since the project required work on multiple roofs and could be bundled to save the locations money. CentiMark also provided a donation to each of the four (4) locations upon the completion of the project.

This was a unique foam and coating project we completed this year in Gilbert, AZ. The absence of a roof coating in many areas had exposed the SPF below to the sun's harmful uv rays. This roof was in desperate need of some CentiHelp! We essentially had to scarify (grind away) a layer of old foam, install a 1" layer of new SPF spray foam, and apply 3.5 gallons of acrylic coatings. Our operations team did a great job with the installation!
“This year, we hired your company to do extensive roof repairs/replacement. We would be more than happy to refer CentiMark to anyone looking for someone to do roofing on their facility. It was a wonderful experience and we are happy with the outcome. Again, thank you so much!” - Gateway Fellowship Church

Jude Catholic Church, Lakewood, CO | Gutter Repair & Snow Stops
Service Representative: Brent Wilhelmi
The west edge of the roof and the sheet metal flashing came loose in the high winds. The crew made an emergency call to do a temporary repair using plates and fasteners to hold it in place until the permanent repairs were complete. When we returned, we removed the existing metal and membrane flashing. We attached the field membrane along the edge with pates and fasteners to keep the field of the roof from lifting and pulling the flashing loose. We installed new flashing to seal the plates and the top of the parapet wall. To limit the chance of this happening again with the high winds that we get in Colorado, we installed an ES1 perimeter edge metal detail. Also installed on the roof were snow clips to aid with the heavy snow the area often gets. The roof surface that we worked on has a large slope causing snow and ice to come loose all at one time. This was causing the gutters to be damaged and was a liability to the parishioners walking below the roof. There had been several attempts by other roofing companies to solve the sliding issue that had not worked. We designed a pattern to install snow gems on the lower section to hold the snow and ice in place while it melted. The snow gems were installed using a special adhesive to make sure that they are adhered to the PVC membrane properly.
