Hi there, I'm Sydney (she/they).

I imagine you are here because you're going through something difficult and are seeking support, trying to find where you fit in the world, or just want to work toward being your best self. I would be honored to be part of your journey in meeting these goals.

In our sessions you can expect someone who values connection and partnership, who is LGBTQIA+, BDSM/Kink, and neurodiversity affirming, and who practices from a HAES (Health At Every Size) perspective. My approach is flexible, involving mind-body practices like Brainspotting processing, more direct approaches like recognizing and intentionally changing patterns and learning skills, and creating space for creativity and joy through expressive arts work.

I've been a social worker for more than 10 years and have provided individual therapy in settings like outpatient hospital clinics and University College Counseling Centers for more than half of my professional career. I have experience and find meaning in working with perfectionists, LGBTQIA+ folks, people recovering from trauma and stress, individuals with chronic health concerns, those experiencing anxiety, and people who would like to stop or change their relationship with substances.
