Categories

All entries will be judged by industry professionals. 

1.    Narrative: Any fictional or nonfictional piece which is presented in a sequence and tells a story and does not fit into the other specific categories. 

2.   Comedy: This category speaks for Itself. Make us laugh! But, be sure It's appropriate. 

3.    Public Service Announcement: A PSA is a short message, which informs the public, or changes public opinion, actions, or feelings.  

4.    Music Video: Videos set to original or non-original music. All music used is copyright protected and the intellectual property of the musical artist. 

     Copyrighted material must be credited at the end of each video. (Permission must be granted to use copyrighted material).  

5.  Silent Films: Black and White film in the silent film style. Instrumental music only. 

6.    Experimental: Your film doesn't fit neatly in any other category? This is the place for it.  

7.  Documentary Short: Non-fiction storytelling, shedding light on important topics and inspiring social change.  

8.  Animation: Bring imagination to life using hand-drawn, computer-generated, stop-motion or combo of different styles. 

9.    Middle School:  Are you in 8th grade or younger? Then this is the category for you. 

10.   Alumni:  This is a special category for Film Festival participants who have graduated but still love to make films!
