Registration

Registration must be completed by January 7, 2022.

Student Corner has all the forms, please make sure the students are creating a Science Fair project- I will send a list to each teacher to confirm =)

Steps & Forms

Guide to forms created by Honolulu District

Students must complete the necessary forms. All projects will need Forms 1, 1A, and 1B.

Step 1: Determine which forms students need to complete.

• • • Option 1: Have students complete the Forms Wizard. Print out the resulting list of forms to complete.

    • Option 2: Use the table in the Forms Graphic to see which forms students need to complete.

Step 2: Print out the necessary forms for students to complete.

• • • Forms Hard Copies- This is a PDF of all the forms combined. All students will need Forms 1, 1A, and 1B.

    • Forms Overview: An official overview of all forms are also listed on the ISEF website.

Step 3: Have students complete a project abstract. [not required this year]

• • • Abstract Form: All students must complete an abstract IF they are going to ISEF.

Step 4: Make copies of all completed forms.

• • • Please make sure students have a backup copy made of all their forms.

Step 5: Make sure everything is ready on Student Corner and that students check their emails daily during the judging rounds =)

Science vs Engineering Projects

Projects Requiring SRC and IRB

• • SRC (Scientific Review Committee):

    • • Projects pertaining to Vertebrate Animals; Potentially Hazardous Biological Agents; and Hazardous Chemicals, Activities, or Devices must be submitted to the SRC for approval before the start of the project.

  • IRB (Institutional Review Board):

    • • Projects pertaining to Human Subjects must submit an IRB for approval before the start of the project.
