Limitations

As already stated, Copyright law places certain limitations and exceptions to the exclusive rights of copyright holders, and these are some of the most noteworthy ones for ministries:

• The Religious Service Exemption given to religious assemblies.
• The opportunity to use copyrighted material without permission as long as it's Fair use.
• The amount of time before a work passes into Public Domain.
