Students must keep their phone "OFF AND IN YOUR LOCKER." The following is the policy from the Webster handbook:
PERSONAL COMMUNICATION DEVICE (PCD) POLICY
The use of PCDs is only permitted when predetermined by the administration or teachers to be for educational or medical purposes. Students are prohibited from using or displaying electronic communication devices (PCDs) - including but not limited to cell/mobile phones, earbuds/AirPods, iPads, gaming devices, and recording devices - during the school day, in school buildings, vehicles, and at all school-sponsored activities between 7:30 a.m. and 2:47 p.m.
Inappropriate use of smartwatches and earbuds/pods can be referred to as a disciplinary matter. Students are not allowed to use PCDs, AirPods, or earbuds in the Commons, hallways, breakout areas, recess/lunch or in passing during school hours and are only acceptable with the permission of the appropriate staff member for educational purposes only and must be off and in a locker, just like cell phones.
Students may check their PCDs for messages at their lockers on the way to their dedicated lunch period. Phones are not to leave the students’ lockers at any time throughout the school day. During this designated time to check for messages, the possession or use of a PCD may not in any way:
Disrupt the educational process in the District
Endanger the health or safety of the student or anyone else
Invade the rights of others at school
Involve illegal or prohibited conduct of any kind
Be used to photocopy or transmit any assessment or testing materials
Be a tool to cyberbully others

Personal Communication Device (PCD) Infraction & Discipline Procedure
Possession of a cell phone or other PCD by a student is prohibited. Students are not allowed to use their PCD/cell phone at school between 7:30 a.m.-2:47 p.m. (unless on their way to lunch). Generally, the progressive disciplinary response for major infractions will include: All cell phone violations are recorded as Major Discipline Referrals in Skyward.
Students who are texting their parents/guardians for any reason during the school day, unless on their way to lunch, will receive the same consequences as seen below. Students who are feeling ill must always report to the health room to be seen. Due to safety concerns, students should not text parents asking to be picked up due to a health concern. Phones are available in the office for students to use.
Referrals are cumulative for the school year and will reset at the beginning of the following school year:
1st violation - staff member will confiscate the device and turn it into the office, major office referral issued, parents contacted and device to be turned in each school day for a month.
2nd violation - staff member will confiscate the device and turn it into the office, major office referral issued, parents contacted and device to be turned in for the duration of the school year.
Learn more about PCD use and policies in the CSD Student / Parent Policy Handbook.
Chromebooks will be cleaned, updated and distributed on the first day of school.
Please see this documentation for families to create an observer account in Canvas.
The Webster Healthroom will continue to welcome visitors for common visits/requests (i.e., ice packs, band-aids, or medications) and help with monitoring symptoms and contacting parents as needed.
Medical Administration
If your child requires any prescription or non-prescription medications at school, a parent or guardian must complete the authorization form and submit it to the main office along with the medication.
Immunizations
Please email updated immunizations to ncofta@cedarburg.k12.wi.us.
The IMC is where you will take your chromebook for repairs. All of the online research and databases offered to Webster students are available via Canvas.
Lockers will be available to students. Students can access their locker number and combination on Wednesday, Aug. 20 @ 1 PM in the "Student Information" section of Skyward Family/Student Access.
Phones are not to leave a student's locker at any time throughout the school day. Students can check for messages while at their locker on the way to lunch.
No cash will be accepted for lunch purchases in the cafeteria. Students must use their student ID card to purchase items from the cafeteria and have sufficient funds in their account balance.
To help students make new connections and establish a routine, they will eat with their homeroom classes from September 2 to 12. Starting Monday, Sept. 15, students can choose to sit where they want during lunch. Lunch rotations will occur each month, and these dates will be communicated to students in advance during homeroom.
Each grade-level lunch will be split into two groups, whereby half of the grade eats inside while the other half is outside for recess. They will then swap.
Benefits of the split lunch include:
Smaller groups create a calmer environment
More time to eat and relax outside
Increased supervision
Aramark, the District’s food service provider, has its own health/safety precautions.
