JOB BRIEF:

A Millworker is responsible pulling trim orders, milling material for stock and cutting milled material for various applications. Critical skill...enthusiasm and a good attitude.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Pulls trim orders.

  • Sizes lumber according to specifications for making miscellaneous millwork items, such as face frames, cabinets and components.

  • Trim, putty, sand, cover, and label milled components.

  • Checks the quality of material pulled from stock and assures correct type, amount, dimension, and length, etc

  • Assures quality of materials used to produce high quality finished products.

  • Installs cabinet doors and hardware.

  • Checks finished product at time of shipping to verify invoice.

  • Keeps machines and work area clean.

  • Adjust and repair equipment as needed.

  • Changes dull saw blades, sanding belts, jointer blades, planer blades and shaper bits, as needed.

  • Performs tasks, such as stocking material, cleaning racks, helping in other areas, etc.

  • Cross-trained in other areas of the shop.

  • Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years Professional Woodworking/Cabinet Making or equivalent training, knowledge, skill, and abilities (Required).

  • Special Skills-Operating, maintaining and repairing machines and tools such as: saws, planers, jointers, routers sanders, air tools, etc.

  • ABILITY TO READ TAPE MEASURE IS ESSENTIAL and architectural drawings/blueprints.

  • Physical demands include standing and walking for extended periods of time, bending or stooping, regularly lifting 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds or more. Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Schedule: Tues.-Friday (four day work week)

  • Estimated 10-30 hours per week with more hours available as company grows. The goal is to eventually be full time.

  • Clean Driving Record: 2 years (Preferred)

  • Ability to pass background and drug screening
