2023 Volleyball Season

This season was an opportunity for an amazing group of girls to accomplish the season golas they had set in August. We had a lot of individual talent, but the team chemistry was the key to our success.  As the season progressed, they got more confident, more aggressive, and I think did better than they would have ever expected. We started off the season by winning the Lewiston Invitational and the teams confidences just blossomed from there. We had several great performances from each of the girls as the season continued. The Viking ladies played a solid match during our Volleyball For the Cure night to pull off a very flashy win again Post Falls. This performance sparky a fire and the team, which lead to a hard fought District Title.  This lead to our first return to state since 2021, where we took home a 3rd place trophy.  The girls were excited and were ready to work.  We started with a hard fought battle against Rocky Mt, but was not able to pull off a win. Our next match the girls were able to make some adjustments and beat Timberline.  Our final match of the day we battled with Eagle, the team that ended up taking 2nd.  The girls were scrappy and aggressive, but were un able to push past this tough team.  All in all is was a fantastic season.  We have many girls continuing their volleyball careers and several more focusing on their college majors. Great Job Viks!!
