Will Henningsen "The Semi and Farm"
Size, color pencils, shading tools and pencils, 2024
I got the idea to draw this because I like semis and old farms so I put them together and just started to draw. I like the old farms with red barns and old equipment. I drew the semi first and realised I was going to need more than just semis so I kept it to one and added the old shed with 2 grain bins then I added a pasture with cows then the other farm with 2 sheds and 3 grain bin. I added colors like green grass and red sheds then I added the shading of the road and the rock in the 2 farms and the semi. I struggled with the cows and if I could redo it I would not add the cows I would add more sheds and make the 2 farms bigger and add another farm on the bottom. This style is realistic I like how the shading on the first farm is from a dark to a lighter by the grain bin.
Will Henningsen "The Tractor"
Size, pencil, shading pencils, blending stick, 2024
I got this idea because. I was working for my uncle and I had to wait on the semis to get back to the field, so I took a picture of the tractor and grain cart with my phone. It was my phone background and I really liked the picture. I tried to draw it in my four ideas and it did not turn out how I liked it too. I rushed through my four ideas, so when I had to draw it as my project, I took my time. I put it on Canva and added a grid and sent it to Ms. Garity, I got the paper and Ms. Garity added a grid to the paper, and then I followed with the numbers with the grid and I got the outline done of the tractor and grain cart with pencle. then I had help with the wheels and I thought it was good but Ms. Garity said to add shading and blending and a horizon line. So I added the shading and blending on the tractor and grain cart and the background. then I asked if it was good and Ms. Garity said to add the ground and the sky. The most difficult thing was the wheels and the hood to overcome the struggles I asked for help. if I could change something it would be to add the 340 on the hood of the tractor and the name of the grain cart and draw it in color instead of black and white. This style is realistic. and I like how it turned out compared to the four ideas drawing of it.
Will Henningsen "The Pond"
Size, colored pencils, 2024
I was driving my uncle's service truck in the summer and I saw a duck on his pond with the hay and corn field in the background I thought it looked nice. I used a grid and made some lines where the corn was and the hay and the pond, and then I used colored pencils. I used three different greens for the hay and cornfield. Then I used a blue-gray for the sky and a blue and green for the pond and black to outline the corn and the pond. drawing the duck was hard and getting the colors right was hard but I kept blending it and it turned out nicer than I thought it would. If I could start over then I would ask for help with the corn to make it more realistic. This drawing is realistic with the pond and the hay field. i like how the pond turned out and the adding the black along the pond end and with the corn.
Will Henningsen "The Tractor and Random Faces"
Size, paper, newspaper, glue, and mod podge, 2024
I went with the roll I saw stuff and cut it out. I got a newspaper and I saw a tractor unloading on another grain cart so I cut it out and I saw some faces and cut them out and put them on the tractor and I saw a whale fin and put it on the tractor I saw a turkey and put that as the emblem. and did the same thing with the eye on the other tractor and I saw a finger and put that as the corn unloading. the hardest part was cutting it out of the newspaper and I tried to stay in the lines. this work is surreal. I like how it turned out with having no idea what i was going to do.
