Chip & Dip Bowl
I picked this design because I thought it would look cool. I started out by flattening a chunk of clay and I cut out a circle for the bow. When I got them cut out I took a design thing and pressed it into it. once I did that I put it on top of a styrofoam circle and had it fired. Then I glazed it and had it fired again. I want my audience to think that these bowls have a really cool design. the most difficult part was to get the sides cut smooth to where they wouldn't be sharp when they got fired. This is a functional piece of art. I love the color of the bowls.
Wheel Thrown Pottery
I first started by getting a slab of clay and centering it on the wheel. Once it was centered I used two of my fingers and stuck them right in the middle and pulling it out. Then I started pulling up the sides and once it was done I took it off the wheel to dry then it was fired and I glazed it. The most difficult part of this process was raising the walls. I realized I had to slow down the wheel to help from making the walls collapse.
Slump Drape
When I made this vase I started off with making the sides of the clay. I then set the sides on top of flattened clay and traced around it with a needle tool then cut it out. I then blended it together on the bottom so it was connected. When I got done with that I made the handles and uses slip to connect it to the vase itself. The hardest part of this project was to keep the sides from cracking.
Expressive
For this project, I started off with a slab of clay. I then flattened it with the slab roller and I cut out the bottom of the shoe. I then cut out another piece for the sides and put it on top of the piece I made for the bottom and connected them and then cut out a piece for the tongue of the shoe and put it together shoe. Then I made the design with a needle tool and made holes for the shoestrings. it was then ready to fire and then get glazed. The most challenging part was probably making a good Nike sign on the side.
Utilitarian Project
For this project I got a very big slab of clay and put it through the slab roller to flatten it. I then cut out a large piece of clay for the bottom of the container. Then I cut the outside walls at 2 1/2 inches and the inside dividers at 2 inches. I slipped and scored the bottom of the dividers so they'd bond together. I put footing around the all of the divider to help support them. It was then ready to dry but I had a lot of problems with it cracking so when it was completely dried I had to re-wet it and let it sit over the weekend so it was back to where it was when I put it together and I then got rid of the cracks. I then let it dry again and had it fired. It broke in half when it was fired so I tried using the glaze as a glue. The glaze didn't hold it together so I used hot glue. The hardest part was keeping it from cracking.

Stop, Start animation
I got this idea from looking online on what foods I could do a stop motion for and I was most interested in the Hershey kiss. For this project, I started out with a piece of clay and started out with a flat piece of brown clay for the Hershey kiss. I then slowly started to form it into a Hershey kiss. Once I got done with that I made a wrapper for it and then started to wrap it around the Hershey kiss. The hardest part I had was getting the kiss to look like it had the same shape as one that you'd actually eat.
Choice Sculpture Project
I was just thinking of what I could make from cardboard and this just came to mind. I started off by getting the supply's to make it. I then cut out my walls for each building. Once I glued down the walls I then cut out pieces for the roof. I struggles being able to cut in a straight line so it wasn't cut really crooked. I also struggled with keep it together by myself when I put the roof on.
