My idea for this painting was to create a magical looking enchanted waterfall, set in a beautiful, cherry blossom tree forest with moss-covered rocks. The idea came to me as I was scrolling through Pinterest and looking at similar paintings.
The painting was created using acrylic paint on canvas. The process involved painting the background, then sketching out the other objects and adding painted details to each of them.
The enchanted waterfall represents the natural beauty and magic of the cherry blossom forest. I like to leave the story of this forest unknown, and to be interpreted by anyone who sees it.
The most difficult aspect of creating this painting was getting the perspective and the details of the waterfall right, especially the way it crashes into the water. I overcame this challenge by studying the way water falls and the way it interacts with the water at the bottom.
This painting falls under the category of surrealism. I love the way that the artwork can take the viewer to another world and the way that it evokes a sense of mystery and imagination.

This painting shows the character Ghostface from the "Scream" movie franchise holding a blood-splattered knife with a red background. I got the inspiration after rewatching the Scream franchise.
I created this painting by using acrylic paint on canvas. I first painted the background, then sketched out his cloak, mask and knife. Once I was satisfied, I began filling in the outline and added highlights and details. Lastly, I splattered red paint all over the knife and mask with a paintbrush to represent blood.
I like to think that Ghostface holding his blood-splattered knife represents the horror that the movies do. The red background adds to the creepy atmosphere and creates a scary feeling.
One of the most difficult aspects of creating this painting was the shadows on the mask and the shape of the eyes. I overcame this challenge by experimenting with shapes and sizes.
I think this painting falls under the category of Realism, with some influence from Modern Art in the use of color.

The inspiration for this painting came from the fact that many wild animals are captured and held in captivity, often in conditions that are not suitable for their needs. I wanted to express the sense of despair and hopelessness that these animals must be feeling, as well as try to raise some awareness for the harsh conditions.
This painting was created using acrylic paint on canvas. I started by painting the background red, mixing dark hues with brighter hues for more variety. I then drew out the basic shape of the dolphin and the barbed wire fence. Then, I painted both of these making sure to pay close attention to highlights and details.
The dolphin in the center of the painting represents the wild animal being held in captivity, while the barbed wire fence around it represents the confinement. The red color of the ocean symbolizes the pain they are suffering.
The most difficult aspect of this painting was representing the dolphins emotions. I overcame this challenge by focusing on the emotion in the dolphin's eyes and the texture of the barbed wire. If I were to start over, I would make the background less dominant.
My personal style leans towards cartoonish paintings, but I like how this one is a mix of both realistic and not. I also hope it brings awareness to this issue.

My idea for this artwork was to create a playful picture of a frog, inspired by my love of animals and nature. I wanted the artwork to have happy feel, and to be something that would bring a smile to the face of anyone who looked at it.
To create this artwork, I used acrylic paint on canvas. I began by sketching the basic shapes on the canvas before filling in them in with paint.
The frog in this artwork is a symbol of animals and nature. I like to think that this represents the reality of animals feelings that people don't often think about.
The most difficult part of this painting was most likely mixing the colors, as I was never satisfied with the aqua and green colors I was mixing.
This artwork is a good example of my personal style, which leans towards fun cartoon-like designs as well as things with hidden meaning. I hope it inspires others to appreciate the beauty of nature around us.

The idea for this painting was to create a detailed image of my recently deceased cat, Max, who was a domestic long-hair mix with green eyes. I wanted to capture his spirit and personality in the artwork, as well as express my own feelings about his passing. I have been working on it for a few weeks now, trying to make it as accurate as possible. With the attention to detail i'm not sure if I will finish it before the end of this school year.
