I wanted to make an Xbox Controller. It just kinda came into my mind.
First I took the clay and flattened it. Next I cut out the shape and formed the controller. It was painted realistic. I like to play xbox and my favorite game is Fortnight. If I started over Id probably change the green part. I really like how it looks realistic and you can tell exactly what it should be.
I wanted to make a pitcher for ceramics class. During this project I learned how to use the slab roller and press texture into clay. First I wedged my clay. Next I rolled out the slab on the slab roller. I pressed doillie into the clay to make texture. Then I formed the pitcher and glazed it a purple-red. If I started over I would have glazed it nicer. Some black accidently dripped on it. I really love how the colors of the glaze look.
I wanted to make some clay charcuterie display with slump drape techniques. I used rings to shape the bowls. I left them unconnected so they could be stored more easily. I tapped the clay so it would fall (slump) into the foam ring to make a perfect circle. If I were to start over I would not do anything different. I really like how the glaze turned out on these as well.
I was certified on the clay extruder or coil press when I made the pumpkin. I pressed the clay out and stacked the colils in the shape of a pumpkin. I smoothed all the coils out to make it look like a pumpkin. If I started over I'd try to make the pumpkin look less like an apple and more like a pumpkin. I'd make the lines on the sides. I like how the paint looks on the stem with the shading from green to orange.
I made this snake and I was going to use it to make a stop motion video. It was going to come out of an egg. Or slither and move. I ran out of time and didn't get the video to come together.
