(IDEA) My idea was to make a dog themed magnet. I didn't know what to do at first when thinking of what to make, so I started thinking of things I like. Amongst those ideas was dogs. I thought that a dog magnet would be decently easy to make for me, as well as a really fun idea.
(PROCESS) To start out, I made an oval for the head and tried to imagine where everything would go. From there, I made the eyes, nose, and ears. The bent ear was a split-second decision, so I had to do a bit of extra work to make it happen. The last thing I did was the tongue, because it was actually pretty difficult to get such a small piece on there without it breaking off while I tried to seal it with everything else. I did eventually get it, and I think the little detail of the tongue adds a lot more expression to the final magnet.
(SYMBOLISM & ICONOGRAPHY) What does the artwork mean? What do you want your audience to think about? Is there any symbolic imagery in the work?
(ARTISTIC GROWTH) The most difficult part of this magnet was the tongue. I tried multiple times to attach it, but it kept falling off or breaking because of how small it was. Eventually, I figured out that if I made a small slit in the bottom where I wanted the tongue, and made the tongue more of an oval shape than a half circle, I could stick the tongue into that open area and seal it with much less difficulty.
(VISUAL VOICE) What style of art is this? (Realistic, Abstract, Surreal, Non-Objective?). What makes it unique to your own personal style? What do you love about it?
(IDEA) My idea was to make my pitcher look very nature-themed. I used a pattern that looked similar to leaves and used mainly green and blue glaze to try and pull the idea together.
(PROCESS) Explain your process. What tools and techniques did you use?

(ARTISTIC GROWTH) The most difficult part of doing the pitcher was definitely the process of putting it together. It was pretty hard to press the two sides together and get them to really merge together and close any seams without it breaking somewhere along the way. I believe there's still a few cracks on the inside that I wasnt able to reach, but the outside where it connected looks alright to me.

(IDEA) First explain what your idea is. How did you get the idea and how did it evolve? Inspirations from life experiences? Another Artwork?
