I got the idea because I like unicorns and dinosaurs, so I decided to use a dinosaur body and then add a unicorn horn on its head.
My process was to collect my items, which for this baseline I used my pencil and a piece of paper. I used a picture of a dinosaur off of Pinterest and drew it out, then as for blending I eyeballed it and blended the background and dinosaur out.
The artwork doesn't have a meaning but the reason I chose this background idea was because I like to blend the pencil led and make it look cool. I want the audience to see my love for blending and making everything come together.
The most difficult part of this baseline drawing was drawing the body out of the dinosaur. For me drawing body's of animals and humans are most difficult. To overcome the struggles i found an easy picture to go off of. That guided me a lot to succeed at this. If i started over i would redo the body of the dinosaur and i would redo the cactus to make everything look more realistic.
I would say this artwork is more so abstract, it doesn't show any reality or anything REAL. Its made up and a myth. Its unique because i took one myth and mixed it with something thats now also a myth. Therefore, the unicorn being a myth and the dinosaur being a myth now but was once real. I love the fact that i tried really hard on this to make it look good but i know i could have done better.
My idea for this project was to make me and him to look as realistic as possible. I got the idea because for this realistic drawing I was looking through photos and decided on this one. I got this inspiration because last year I did this same thing just with a different photo. So my idea of what to use and how to do it was very clear.
My process for this was to start with outlining everything and then work from head down, I used my utensils to blend and create. The tools I used include graphite and a blending stick, along with the paper itself.
This artwork also shows that i enjoy blending and making things look as relistic as possible. I want my artist to see my message of this artowrk, to understand our emotions or feelings in this. The symbol of this project is simply love.
The most difficult part was to shade the correct parts the correct ways. Some parts i had to redo quite a few times. I also had difficult outlining the face, some parts look lopsided and wrong. To overcome these struggles i asked for help to get me a re start so it would make more sense. I would like to honestly re do the whole outlining and shading of this project, i think the face looks wrong and so does the arm.
The style of art is realistic, this is a picture used from my camera roll and is most definitely all real. The only thing we changed that was major was my shirt, we had to not add the lettering in order for it to work. This is unique because its one of my own pictures including me myself. I love the symbol of this project, and I also love the picture I chose because it includes someone i love.
My idea for this project was to make this look real but also sharp. I got the idea by searching up ideas to look off of, i thought of stars and a starry night, which is something i would enjoy drawing. I looked that up and started from there.
For this process i started by outlining everything, i then shaded in lightly the parts that would be dark and the parts that would stay light. I then erased my pencil lines and used water color pencils. I looked off of the colored version of this and drew in everything with the pencils. I then used water to blend and guide it through. I used a paper, water color pencils, and water itself.
The artwork means and symbolizes a calming feeling. The starry night and stars, with clouds and mountains in the background make me feel calm. I would also want the audience to feel that calm feeling I do when looking over it.
The most difficult part of the sketch was trying to show where the dark and light spots are, along with drawing out the clouds. To overcome this I made the lines more clear so I would understand it better. I would change the spotting of the clouds because they didn't aline the best in the ending.
The style of this was realistic. However, I used a animated drawing and intended to make it look realistic. This is unique because instead of doing something simple and making it animated I decided to try and make it realistic and give myself a challenge. I love the stary night in this drawing.
