“The fiery Forest”
17in by 12in
Material: con-paper, cloth- string- paper
My source of information is the wildfires that are spreading due to climate change. My process for creating this artwork was laying the construction paper on top of each other to make a sky viewpoint. Then add clouds I sewed together. The fire is paper clothes and glue to the mountain. And the branches of the tree are string. I demonstrated that if we don’t do something about climate change the occurrence of fire will increase and spread. The challenging part of this project was the clouds though. Because I had to sew them together. I took the creative risk of clouds and string for the tree branches. I learned that if you think of something to make you can despite if you tell yourself you cant. The most liked thing about my artwork was the sewing of clouds because it was my first time I actually need the skill in life. If I could start over I would have outlined the cliff face more.

“The Challenger memorial”
(8.5in by 11in)basic sketchbook paper
Paper and pencil sketch
My source of inspiration was the challenger disaster when the space shuttle exploded. I choose this because the astronauts involved were brave and need a way to be remembered. They knew if they died it was for their country and for science and that this would make history either way. My process for making this project was researching the suits that the challenger crew wore and how to put this into a memorial. So I came up with the L. A. S. suit helmet the crew was wearing. The helmet would be a replica of the crews and have a podium engraved with all the crew's names and indents for flowers. My process was first making the helmet and podium stand out on paper. I used different perspectives to perceive it as being 3d to show the depth of the sketch. I face many challenges such as how to draw a space suit mainly because it's hard to try to draw a 3d circle. I solved some problems by referencing actually suits and logos on them. I took the creative risk of adding shadows and reflectivity to give it depth. I also learned that after the challenger disaster NASA took procedures of making a safer suit and more precautions before launching shuttles. I like the helmet I made the most. If I could start over I would incorporate more detail or background to the memorial.

“The Scream Project”
(9in by 12in)
Paper, watercolor paint & pencils.
The source of my inspiration was “the scream” created by Edvard Munch. My process for creating this work was to first sketch a design for the scream. The challenge I faced was getting the proportions right. I had 3 rough draft consisting of charcoal pencil and colored pencils to ref off of. I took the creative risk of using watercolor paint & pencils. I learned that you shouldn't be afraid to get creative and try new resources. I like how I made the person the most. If I could start over I would add more watercolor
