So for my idea for this piece was a pitcher, and when I was picking out a design, I liked the leaf design. For the process of this piece, I used a leaf template and a needle tool. The medium for the art is stoneware. This was my first time glazing and was pretty hard at first, but I really enjoyed glazing. I went for a pitcher with no handle, so one is careful to pour any liquids.
I really enjoy cooking so I thought why not make a pice that pays omage to one of my passions. This was pretty tricky for me to get the grilled marks just right for the steak.
So this piece is a charcuterie board; this isn't the first one. The first one sadly broke, and this one was my second try at making a charcuterie board. The design stuck out to me when I was applying it. And the glaze was so nice, I decided to do it again. It was a really nice color. The medium for the art is stoneware, and I used a needle tool, and a mould scrapper.
This piece is a bowl, and I spent more time glazing this piece. Although the picture doesn't show the glaze as best it does when you actually see it in person. I used a dark blue for a couple of the coats, and then a glittery coat, this was made to use up some stoneware I had left.
This is a pumpkin I spent a month creating. This is the piece I'm most proud of. I spent a lot of time smoothing it out, and adding layer by layer. I was using a coil method, which took me longer to make, because I went layer by layer, smoothing it out. I wanted to make a realistic pumpkin; it is very hefty, and has a lot of space inside of it. The flazing also took a while to get the most oragngish orange we had available, then a green for the leaves, and a brown for the stem. This is definitely my most favorite thing I've made in this class. The tools I used to make it were a needle tool, a brush, a sponge, a rib tool, and a spinning wheel.
This is a wardog brigand from Warhammer 40,000. I used parts from a miniature building kit, and the dead soldier at the base with the sandbags were 3D printed.
This was our stop motion that we used stop motion clay, we made a city being destroyed by four monsters. And in the end we had a massive monster eat them all, including the city.
