Artist Statements

I got this idea from another painting I worked on at home. At home I was painting a sunset that looked exactly like the sky in Juice Wrld’s album and a couple people said I should do the Juice Wrld album because the sky looked like his album. The first step was to get all the small little details on the paper and then I would trace the body. After that I would start with the background and I would work down from there. The last step I did was doing all the small little details in his jacket. This artwork means a lot because he passed away about 2 years ago and I thought I would do a cool drawing of him because he was one of my favorite artists. The most difficult thing was probably his hair because it was hard to make it look so realistic, but the way I overcame that was I just put more details into it to make it look more realistic. This style of art is realistic because he looks very real. The thing I love most about this project is the face and how realistic it looks.
