Makayla Hardy "Upside Down Universe"

 My idea was to make an upside-down universe with clouds everywhere. I got the idea from me. I just wanted to paint for the first time and make a good first painting. I always loved The Starry Night by Vincent Van Gogh.

My first idea was to make a sea sunrise but my paper was upside down so I just made an upside-down universe.  I used acrylic paint and I used a big brush to make the clouds kind of look like clouds.

The artwork means even if you make a mistake, it can be easily fixed. For this being my first work of art I feel like what I would want people to say is you can do a lot better. 

The most difficult for me was making the clouds look like clouds. I overcame the struggle from learning how to make clouds look like clouds. Something I would change is the blending and the clouds.

The style of art for this would probably be Impressionism. What makes this painting unique in my opinion is the colors because the colors are very beautiful.  What I love about this is how weird and unique it looks.
